Donald Trump attacked Khizr Khan, the father of a fallen soldier from a Muslim immigrant family, on ABC’s This Week on Sunday.
Khan gave an emotional speech to the Democratic National Convention Thursday night where he called out Trump for his proposed ban on Muslims. He said that the presidential candidate has sacrificed nothing for his country.
“Well, that sounds– who wrote that?” Trump asked. “Did Hillary’s script writers write it?”
Trump said that Khan was very emotional but still looked like a nice guy and wished him the best. He also pointed out that Khan’s wife was on stage next to him, but did not say anything. He insinuated that she was not allowed to say anything.
Trump also told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos that he was not happy with the current debate schedule.
