Two shootings in Texas have left at least one woman dead and multiple victims, emergency services have confirmed.
The shootings took place in the area of Sixth Street, a historic entertainment district in downtown Austin, with emergency services raising the alarm between 2am and 3am local time.
“Active shooter incident downtown, multiple victims. Stay away from downtown,” Austin police said in a message on Twitter on Sunday just before 3am local time.
Police added that there were “separate shootings in the same area”, but did not confirm how many gunman were believed to be involved.
