On Friday activist and communist Angela Davis told a crowd at the Brooklyn Museum in New York “we have to do whatever is necessary” to prevent a Donald Trump presidency.
She did not elaborate.
Davis, who was acquitted on murder and kidnapping charges in 1972 during the trial of the Soledad Brothers, was a leader of the Communist Party USA. She had close relations with the Black Panther Party.
Davis supports the Black Lives Matters movement.
Watched Angela Davis & Gloria Steinem speak abt activism & (somehow) I put it all into words huff.to/1PaeO6D
In November, a woman reportedly connected to the organization called for “gangsters” to kill Donald Trump. The Secret Service subsequently investigated the woman.
In March, Black Lives Matter activists disrupted a Trump rally in New Orleans.
One of the most intense protests I've witnessed at a@realDonaldTrump event. Here's a snippet:
Also in March, a prominent BLM activist, rapper Tef Poe, tweeted that if Trump wins the election, “niggas” will “incite riots everywhere.”

Davis has not explicitly supported any of the radical measures proposed and threatened by BLM.
