Prager U: Who’s More Pro-Choice, Europe or America?...

Everybody knows that Europe’s a progressive utopia, where everyone has guilt-free sex, Muslims live in peace, and abortions are available on every street corner… Actually, not so much!
A new video from Prager University features TruthRevolt alum Elisha Krauss demonstrating that Europe may not be the pro-choice haven leftists believe. Instead, the video reveals that American abortion laws allow for much greater acts of barbarism in comparison to the “enlightened” continent.
“That’s right. Western Europeans — as progressive and secular as they are — have a much more conservative attitude about abortion than American Progressives do,” Krauss says in the video.
Leftists usually tout Sweden, Germany, Denmark, and France as Europe’s great models for progressivism, a sentiment that served as Michael Moore’s thesis in his latest dud of a documentary Where to Invade Next. Little does he know (or perhaps he does and preferred not to emphasize it) that Europe’s abortion laws make America look like a 24/7 butcher shop with little or no regulation.
For instance, countries like Bernie Sanders’ beloved Denmark allow abortions only for the first 12 weeks before multitudes of restrictions step in. In Germany, abortion becomes illegal after 12 weeks, before which, women are require to undergo a three-day waiting period and receive counseling. Other countries have similar laws with varying degrees of restrictions.
How does the United States stack up compared to this revelation? According to the video:
In the U.S., abortions are legal in every state before a pregnancy has reached its 20th week. After that some restrictions do kick in. 11 states prohibit abortions after the 20th week of pregnancy. 20 states prohibit abortions at the point of viability, which is when a baby can survive outside the womb. Those states usually recognize that as being between 23-25 weeks…3 states prohibit abortion after the 28th week…And 7 states plus Washington, D.C. allow abortions to be performed at any point in a pregnancy — even if the mother could safely give birth to a viable and healthy baby.
If American progressives want to cry “war on women” this election year, then they better concede that Europe is waging a full-blown crusade against them by comparison.
