Hillary Clinton supporter Michael Nutter appeared to mock the idea that Donald Trump could have well-educated supporters during a CNN appearance Tuesday, sarcastically calling that an “interesting combination.”
Nutter, the former mayor of Philadelphia, said Trump had “no ideas” and was only capable of attacking Clinton on the campaign trail.
“He’s only talking to a smaller portion of the American public,” Nutter said. “Republican voters in primaries. The general election is a totally different story … Many more people who are engaged and involved.”
“I’ve talked to some well-educated people who are Trump supporters, and he’s appealing to them, too,” CNN host Pamela Brown said.
