Barack Obama has triggered a furious political row by urging the UK to stay in the European Union as he visits the UK for an official visit.
In a move that will enrage Tory eurosceptics but delight pro-EU MPs and campaigners, the President said the EU makes Britain even greater.
His comments came ahead of a lunch at Windsor Castle with the Queen and Prince Philip, where he arrived by helicopter at around 12.45pm.
The President and his wife Michelle were greeted by the Queen and her husband on the grass outside the castle, after two previous helicopters had arrived containing his staff.
