MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski took a shot at Hillary Clinton Wednesday, saying that the American public would rather take a chance on Donald Trump than on a person who would have to prove her trustworthiness.
The Morning Joe co-host spoke about the increasingly probable Clinton-Trump match-up for the general election after both candidates had successful primary nights Tuesday. Trump swept all five states to expand his delegate lead, while Clinton won four out of five and all but cemented her bid for the Democratic nomination.
She continued by speculating that the American public, during this election cycle, would probably rather go with a candidate that is more of a chance, as opposed to a candidate that has ongoing trustworthiness problems.
“Some people might be willing–if they’re not banking on Trump, they’re willing to take the risk to bank on Trump rather than perhaps go with somebody who’s going to have to prove that she can build this trust,” she said.
